The Moroccan dailies published this Monday focus on the Moroccan-Spanish and Moroccan-German relations, the holding in Dakhla of the Crans Montana forum and the project of Al Akhayawne University for the transformation of cooking oil from the city of Ifrane into biodiesel fuel.+Le Matin+ underlines that Morocco has followed with deep concern the violent incidents that occurred in Al Quds acharif and in Al Aqsa Mosque.
"Morocco, whose Sovereign HM King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, chairs the Al Quds Committee, considers these violations as an inadmissible act and likely to stir up tensions," the Moroccan Foreign Ministry said in a statement, quoted by the publication, adding that the Kingdom "considers that unilateral measures are hardly the solution, just as it calls for promoting dialogue and respect for rights.
The ministry stressed that Morocco affirms the need to preserve the special status of the city of Al Quds and to protect the Islamic character of the holy city and the sanctity of the Al Aqsa Mosque.
+Al Ahdath Al Maghribia" writes that Moroccan diplomacy has just spent a very hot weekend. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued two communiqués in which it reframed the Kingdom's relations with two European countries, Spain and Germany. Immediately afterwards, the Parliament hosted a meeting of the political parties represented there, which, in a joint communiqué, demanded more clarity from Spain in its relations with Morocco. Observers are unanimous: Morocco, after having studied the situation, is moving up a gear and demanding more clarity from its allies in their positions.
This offensive of Moroccan diplomacy, continues the daily, was launched Thursday. The Kingdom began by recalling its ambassador in Berlin for consultations. And for good reason. Germany, says the newspaper, citing the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has distinguished itself by "a negative attitude" on the issue of the Moroccan Sahara.
In addition to its position on the issue of its territorial integrity, the Kingdom blames this country for two other facts. The German authorities acted, in fact, with complicity towards an ex-convict for terrorism, in particular by disclosing sensitive information. In addition, there is a continued determination to combat the regional role of Morocco, especially on the Libyan issue.
+Bayane Al Yaoum+ reports that the Crans Montana Forum of Dakhla will resume its activities on June 22 with a virtual conference on African women, according to the organizers.
"The African woman and post-covid resilience", with a focus on Morocco will be the theme of this conference which will mark the return of the Crans Montana Forum in Dakhla after a break imposed by the new coronavirus pandemic.
"Just before the outbreak of the pandemic, the last event organized by the Crans Montana Forum and its African Women's Forum had as its theme the African woman, bearer of universal values. As we renew our activities, the oldest of which date back to 35 years ago, the theme of the next conference and the first of the post-covid era will also be dedicated to the African woman", wrote the Crans Montana Forum's Founding Chairman, Ambassador Jean Paul Carteron in a statement, quoted by the newspaper.
+L'Opinion" reports that Al Akhawayn University (AUI) in Ifrane is currently conducting a multidisciplinary and multidimensional project to transform cooking oil from the city of Ifrane into biodiesel fuel.
Funded by the Region of Fez-Meknes, this initiative, led by Professor Abdelghni El Asli, has seen a strong mobilization of the city's residents, including 200 students and teachers of Al Akhawayn, said a statement from AUI, adding that an average of 300 liters of used cooking oil (HFU) is collected each week from various collection points in the city.
These HFU are then processed by a pilot biodiesel processing unit developed by AUI professors and students, the newspaper reported.
