Known as a highly technical winger and attacking midfielder, Pavel Nedved shone in Serie A in the mid-90s and early 2000s.
Playing for Lazio between 1996 and 2001, Nedved won one Serie A, two Coppa Italia, two Supercoppa Italiana, one UEFA Super Cup and one UEFA Cup Winners' Cup. At the peak of his career, the Czech was snapped up by Juventus, with La Vecchia Signora helping him reach new heights.
Although he didn't accumulate the same amount of silverware as he did at Lazio, Nedved was key to Juventus' domestic success, winning two Scudettos and two Supercoppa Italiana. He was named Ballon d'Or 2003, ahead of Arsenal's Thierry Henry and AC Milan's Paolo Maldini.
Even after Juventus were relegated to Serie B due to the Calciopoli scandal, Nedved was one of the few loyal players to stay with the club, helping them secure a swift return to Serie A. He would eventually retire at the age of 37 in 2009.
