The Dell Latitude 5421 and Dell Latitude 5521 are new 14" and 15" laptops respectively, running Windows 11 and featuring an Intel Tiger Lake-H processor up to the Octo Core i7, an NVIDIA dedicated graphics card and USB-C Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi ax and 4G connectivity.

The Dell Latitude 5421 is a new Portable PC based on an Intel Tiger Lake-H either Hexa Core i5-11400H (2.7 GHz), Hexa Core i5-11500H (2.9 GHz) or Octo Core i7-11850H (2.5 GHz), all with integrated Intel Iris Xe.

The core also features 8/16/32 GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM (2 slots), as well as storage for SSD M.2 NVMe either 128/256/512 GB PCIe 3.0 x4 in 2230 format, or 256/512 GB PCIe 3.0 x4 or 1 TB in 2280 format, or else PCIe 4.0 x4 512GB or 1TB/2TB 2280 format.

As an option, Dell provides a modest dedicated graphics card, the NVIDIA Turing GeForce MX450 2 GB GDDR6 dedicated.

Several anti-glare 14-inch screen options are available: WXGA HD (1366×768) 45% NTSC 220cd/m² 3000:1 or Full HD (1920×1080) 45% NTSC 250cd/m² 600:1 or Full HD 100% sRGB 400cd/m² 1000:1 or Full HD 72% NTSC 100% sRGB 300cd/m² 600:1 tactile multi-touch.

It is topped by a 720p HD webcam with microphone and an optional infrared webcam 720p or 1080p forbiometric authentication using facial recognition via Windows Hello technology.

It can also be used by the fingerprint reader optional.
In all cases, a chiclet keyboard is included as standard, with the option of backlight keys.

Connector modules include 4G/LTE (optional), Wi-Fi ac (Wi-Fi 5 Qualcomm) or Wi-Fi ax (2×2, Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 or AX210), Bluetooth 5.0/5.2, HDMI 2.0, Gigabit Ethernet and headset/microphone combo audio ports, 2 USB 3.0 (including 1 PowerShare), 2 USB 4 Type-C Thunderbolt 4 or a microSD card reader.

The Dell Latitude 5421 runs under Windows 10 (Pro) or Windows 11 (Pro) or distribution Linux Ubuntu 20.04 LTS with 4-cell 64Whr Li-Polymer battery (226.6 x 81.4 x 7.6 mm).
Expect to pay around 1,800 euros for an edition with Core i5-11500H, 16GB DDR4, 512GB SSD and Full HD IPS screen, and around 2,100 euros with Core i7-11850H and MX450.
His big brother the Dell Latitude 5521 stands out for its larger format 15.6 inches allowing it to accommodate a keypad.

It weighs 1.79 Kgmeasures 357.8 x 233.30 x 22.67-.24.05 mm and offers 2 SSD storage slots. It also offers a15.6-inch Ultra HD 4K screen (3840×2160) 400cd/m² (3840×2160) 400cd/m² (400cd/m²) 100% sRGB 800:1.

Expect to pay around 1,800 euros for a Windows 11-based Dell Latitude 5521 with Core i5-11400H, 16GB DDR4, 512GB SSD and Full HD IPS screen, or around 2,400 euros for a Core i7-11850H, 32GB RAM, 512GB SSD, 4K screen and Infrared webcam.
